Khammam Is Formed in 1953 oct 1 before this district and places of this district is are in Warangal and nalgonda district. some of warangal and some places of  Nalgonda merged together formed as Khammam District.
It is located on the Banks of River MUNNERU

---KhammaMettu

Now it is called by Khammam
--Culture and History Of this khammam is comes under TELANGANA Region
--Border of Telangana Region

In this District main Town and Major Place is Khammam It self
